One step away from breaking the records of English women cricketers Muralitharan and Denise Lilly

Sophie Ecclestone, a female cricketer from England, has made a significant mark in the annals of international cricket.

She is currently within reach of Mathia Muralitharan and Denis Lilley in the prestigious ranking of bowlers who have achieved the most wickets in a row.

Should Ecclestone secure a wicket in her next game, she would become the first female cricketer to achieve this milestone in 35 consecutive matches, surpassing the legendary Sri Lankan bowler Muralitharan and the Australian legend Dennis Lillee in the ranks of bowlers with the most consecutive wickets.

Ranks of bowlers with the most consecutive wickets

Bishan Singh Bedi is the record holder for the most consecutive wickets, having achieved this in 46 matches. Sandeep Lamichane from Nepal follows closely in second place with 43 consecutive matches, while Muralitharan and Lillee have both reached 35 consecutive matches.

Sophie Ecclestone currently stands at the bottom of the list with 34 consecutive wickets.
